I watched KOR when I was a teenager; in fact, my age is about the same as Kyosuke, Madoka, and Hikaru in the display. Surprisingly, I found myself appreciating the animation, especially this final OAV movie and the unusual movie, more so as a fat grown adult upright now with kids. The reveal is about like and commitments one made in life, whatever that might be. While there might be some silliness in the movie (and the fresh TV expose), those silliness only enable the characters and the audience to ask the demand “what if’s”.

The only query I have is why Amazon added “Vol. 1″ after the title; this is a movie, not a OAV series.

First, I should let you know that the DVD I bought had a different camouflage. Same movie, however.

If you have watched all the TV episodes, the other OAVs, and the final movie for KOR (I want to return to that day–the inevitable and heartrendingly beautiful/painful resolution of the esteem triangle), you very likely have as grand like for the series as I do, and can overlook (or embrace) the occasional bits of cheesy silliness that were point to in all of KOR except the final movie, instead submersing yourself in the moral beauty and sweetness of the series.

This OAV (which is NOT allotment of a fresh series. It’s called “novel” to reveal that it comes AFTER “I want to return to that day”) has the cheese, and has the sweetness and fun, fair like the other OAVs did.

Although I beget this OAV could stand alone, I contemplate it is considerable better favorable to be watched after someone’s seen a expedient section of the TV episodes, one or two OAVs, and absolutely the Final Movie (which is, IMO, stunningly splendid.)

This OAV makes a friendly postscript to the series by showing not only that life and joy and friendship go on, but also showing how they went on in the lives of the characters we’ve approach to adore. I’d give it five stars, but not for anyone watching it without having seen the series, so I’m leaving it at four.
